The Organization disburses Zakat collected in the following programs:-

1. Educational Sponsorships (bursaries ):

 

Since its inception MDO has been sponsoring various students in   primary,   secondary, colleges, universities. The program has been very successful with over 200 students benefiting since inception, and able to complete their studies through this fund. Most of the students are either orphans or come from poor and destitute families throughout the country.

2. Widows & Orphans welfare:

 

We have initiated a new program for widows and elderly women, whereby we contribute on monthly basis for their upkeep in form of paying their house rent or purchase for them ration/foodstuff for the month. Alhamdulilah so far Nine (9) widows have been placed on the program.

3. Alfurqan Student Sponsorship:

 

A substantial percentage of the Zakat collected is disbursed to Alfurqan Institute to subsidise the poor and needy students studying there.

With the cost of Heath care very expensive in Kenya, on case to case basis we do support such needy and expressly desperate cases that require urgent medical treatment.
